SOLDOTNA, AK – The Kenai River Brown Bears give back to their local Fire Department. The Brown Bears volunteered on Tuesday October 11 at the Kenai Airport to help the Fire department and local first responders in a mass casualty drill. This drill is required by the FAA every three years. It was a good way to meet different people in our community and help out. The job they do is hard, so giving back anyway I can to help those men and women do their job means a lot says goalie Bailey Seagraves. The drill is to help the first responders in a full scale reenactment of a plane crash. Players were assigned different injuries that the medics had to assess, evaluate and respond to. “It’s nice seeing the players interact with people in the community like that,” said Assistant Coach Josh Dallmann.” Giving players new opportunities and chances to give back is something that means a lot to our team. A special thanks to the Firefighters and Paramedics.”
