Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 3 vs. Kenai River 2 (SO) – Army recruit Lincoln Hatten scored both goals in regulation and Johnny Kaljian added the shootout winner as the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights moved their 2019-20 record to a perfect 3-0 with a 3-2 shootout win over Kenai River at the NAHL Showcase. Hatten scored in the 1st period to give the Knights a 1-0 lead. The Brown Bears answered back twice early in the 3rd period to take a 2-1 lead on goals from Theo Thrun and Kyle Valiquette. Hatten then tied the game at 2-2 with under nine minutes remaining setting up the shootout heroics from Kalijian, who was the only shooter from either team to score. Knights goalie Zach Stejskal made 23 saves in the win, while Landon Pavlisin made 31 saves in the shootout loss.
