With the Brown Bears first trip to the lower 48 just around the corner it’s not a road trip at all. The team will meet up with their Minnesota Billet homes when they land. The team spent training camp in Anoka, MN where the players were put into billet families. These billet families serve as the Brown Bears home away from home when they are out of Alaska. “It’s great to have these second billet families in Minnesota,” said Head Coach Jeff Worlton. “In the past the team has stayed in hotels and ate out for meals but now the players get the home feeling and home cooked meals even while on the road.”
