Friday:
Kenai River 3 @ Anchorage 2 (OT)– Carter Green scored 44 seconds into overtime as the Kenai River Brown Bears edged the Anchorage Wolverines 3-2. Campbell Cichosz got the scoring started with a power play tally early in the second period. Bryce Monrean tied the game up midway through the middle frame with his fourth of the year. Anchorage grabbed thee lead back with another power play goal, this one coming off the stick of Joey Moffatt. Kaden Hjlem’s second of the year tied the game at two with just 3:08 remaining and that set up Green’s overtime winner. Bryant Marks was the winner in the blue paint, he stopped 23 shots. Raythan Robbins was stuck with the loss, he made 24 saves.
Saturday:
Kenai River 4 @ Anchorage 5 (OT) – Talon Sigurdson’s third goal of the game was the difference as the Wolverines dropped the Brown Bears 5-4 in overtime on Saturday night. With the three tallies, Sigurdson now leads the lead with 23 goals in 26 games. Campbell Cichosz had a goal and three helpers for Anchorage while Gage Brown also scored for the home squad. Gramm McCormack potted a pair of goals and two assists in the loss. Cole Dubicki had three assists and Bryce Monrean had a goal and an assist of his own. Kadeen Hjelm also got on the scoresheet for Kenai River. Shane Soderwall needed just 16 saves to earn the win in between the pipes while Bryant Marks made 31 stops in the loss.
