SOLDOTNA, AK – The Kenai River Brown Bears took on Alaskan and Raven Cup rival Fairbanks on Saturday November 26. The Brown Bears had two goals that night, to beat Fairbanks (which they did 6-3) but also to help local kids on the Kenai Peninsula. The Brown Bears teamed up with Toys For Tots and held a Teddy Bear Toss during the game. The Brown Bears, with the help of amazing fans, were able to donate 300 toys and teddy bears to local kids for the Holidays. The Brown Bears would like to thank their players for donating toys and teddy bears, Toys For Tots for helping with the event and the Brown Bears amazing fans for helping raise and donate so much for kids in the area. With a special thanks to Johna Beech from Toys For Tots and the Marines for driving the Hummer on the ice and helping make this such a successful event.
