The Kenai River Brown Bears are pleased to report that veteran forward Alec Butcher was recently named the NAHL’s Most Valuable Player and Forward of the Year for the 2013-2014 season. Butcher, who is headed to play Division 1 hockey at Sacred Heart University next season, tallied 24 goals and 42 assists for a league leading 66 points.
In addition to these most recent awards, Butcher was also recognized earlier in the week when he was one of six players named to the league’s All-NAHL Team.
