Oldham Helps Team USA Capture Championship
After leading Team USA to a perfect 4-0 record throughout the first four games of the Five Nations Tournament, Brown Bears’ goaltender Kris Oldham didn’t leave himself much room for improvement. Heading into Sunday’s final game against Slovakia, a team that USA had defeated earlier in the week, Oldham had already posted an impressive .930 save percentage while helping the U-17 Team skate through the international competition. On Sunday however Oldham showed that he had saved his best for last, turning away 20 shots and earning player of the game honors while leading Team USA to a 3-1 victory and a tournament championship.
Overall, Oldham finished the week with a perfect 5-0 record and a .934 save percentage.
