Happy Thursday Brown Bear Nation! Thursday means it’s only one more day until we get to watch our favorite hockey team on the ice! It’s time to cheer on the Brown Bears and they’ve got a match up this weekend that’s sure to get your blood racing! The Bismarck Bobcats are in town to battle the Bears this Friday and Saturday at the Soldotna Regional Sports Center, game times at 7:30 PM. The Brown Bears are coming off a split with the Minot Minotauros and will be hungry for a win against the Central Division second place Bismarck team. Practice this last week has been fast and furious with lots of hard skates to get the guys ready, but it didn’t stop Alex , Luke and the rest of the guys from continuing their community service in and around town. Between fundraising for youth hockey, and working around the Sports Center making rink improvements, some of the guys stepped up, including these two guys, to move a trailer load of hay for one of our community members. If you need help our Brown Bears are here to offer a hand and and all they ask in return is that you cheer the loudest at this weekends games! So come on out to the rink and see Luke and Alex tear it up on the ice! There’ll be goals scored and big hits by these two guys and you won’t want to miss it! As always, look for Alex and Luke before or after the game and say your Hello’s! Or even better give the glass the loudest pounding that you can and ring those cowbells when you see our boys skate by you this weekend! GO BEARS!!!!
