The Boys are back in town Brown Bear fans and this week we highlight two of our power forwards, Luke Posner and Sutton McDonald! Welcome Home guys! Luke and Sutton and the rest of the team have been extremely busy in the community the last few days! Luke has been out at North Star Elementary in Nikiski, with some of the other guys, and Sutton and some more of the team have been volunteering at Soldotna Elementary. The guys are polishing up the reading skills of the kids and working hard on the playground staying alive! Good practice for the ice, dodging our agile grade schoolers! You may also have seen some of the guys around town helping various community members move this week! Nothing like a hockey player to do the heavy lifting! And that’s not all! They’ve also all been on the Ice working with the KPHA IceHawks helping to develop skills in our young local hockey players! Thank you guys for always being willing to chip in and work! We know that all you ask in return is that your fans show up at the games and be LOUD! So all you kids out there , young and old, that have run into Sutton, Luke or any of the team this week, head over to the Sports Center and make some noise this Friday and Saturday! The Bears are up against the Coulee Region Chill and they’d like to make it extra chilly in our barn for this Wisconsin team! As always, bang extra loud on the glass when Sutton and Luke skate by you and let them know your in the house, they ‘ll be glad to see you!
