Kenai River 2 @ Chippewa 8 – Jacob Dirks and Alec Schwab each scored twice as the Steel handed the Brown Bears their first regulation loss of the season thanks to a convincing 8-2 win on home ice on Friday. The Steel scored three goals in the 1st period from Chase Hamstad, Braden Lindstrom, and Dirks and never looked back. Schwab and Ian Famulak added 2nd period goals and Dirks, Schwab, and Braiden Dorfman added 3rd period goals. Both Brown Bears goals came in the 2nd period from Theo Thrun and Zach Krajnik. Steel goalie Grant Boldt made 27 saves in the win, while Landon Pavlisin made 29 saves in the loss.
