The Brown Bears are excited to welcome goalie coach, Evan Draves to the coaching staff.
Draves, was born and raised in Winona, Minnesota, where his passion for hockey began. During his high school playing days, he was voted Most Improved Player as a sophomore and went on to serve as an assistant captain and be named Most Valuable Senior in his final year.
He continued his playing career with the club hockey team at the University of Minnesota Duluth before graduating from the University of MinnesotaβTwin Cities with a degree in Kinesiology. It was there that his coaching journey officially began.
With over a decade of coaching experience, Draves has worked extensively with Devenir Goaltenders- helping lead summer camps, clinics, and winter training programs. His resume also includes goalie coaching positions at Holy Angels High School, Northfield High School, Chaska High School, Waconia High School, St. Olaf College, and the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders of the USHL. He has contributed to Minnesota High Performance programs in a variety of roles, all focused on advancing the development of goaltenders across the state.
Draves currently resides in Minnetonka, Minnesota. Outside the rink, he enjoys staying active through outdoor pursuits like golf, kayaking, swimming, and biking.
