Coach Weasler grew up in Rosemount MN and is currently a resident of Faribault MN. Dean has been coaching hockey for 18 years in Minnesota, the last 8 have been as the Head High School coach of the Faribault Falcons. During his time in Faribault he also serves as the Director of Hockey for 6 years and coached several youth teams in addition to running goalie clinics. He has also served as the goaltending coach for the Steel County Blades (USPHL).
His playing career included playing Minnesota High School Hockey (1996 Graduate), USHL – Rochester Mustangs (1996-1998), WCHA – St. Cloud State University (1998-2002), ECHL, and CHL professionally. He was a goaltender who still ranks amongst the top goaltenders statistically at St. Cloud State University in several categories.
Dean’s family lives in Faribault but travels each winter for hockey. Leighton (20) plays in the NA3HL in Gillette and Maclain (17) is playing in Boston for North Shore Academy. Joelle (14) and Meagan (wife) stay in Faribault and are active in hockey, volleyball, and theatre.
